(This is a reminder that I am using a different interpretive astrological system than what is commonly used. Once again, I say the proof is in hindsight as we review our realities at the end of the month. It’s going to be an unpredictable month with long-term opportunities for change, and a good healthy helping of personal wisdom for each of us, enabling us to be willing to take action during this dynamic period. The two key players from last month (see June Astro Forecast), Saturn and Neptune, are still active since they are slow-moving planets. During the first week, both Sun and Mercury make favorable aspects to the pair, so we should be able to gain an awareness of how we are faring when it comes to equalizing the opposites and finding the compromise in paradox. Whatever was going on concerning these two planets last month will most likely still occupy our time, dissipating as the month progresses.

Also a carry -over from last month, the Jupiter-Pluto energies are still active, with possible tension in the latter part of the month due to questioning whether it would be best to go “all the way” and make those expansive changes we envisioned last month, or whether we fear we are going too far too fast. Others may oppose expansion as being unnecessary. Opportunity for change is definitely favored in Week 4. Pluto’s power, the catalyst for change, can best be exerted around days 7, 17-19, 21 and 24.

In addition to the above long-term aspects, there is lots of activity between inner planets and Uranus throughout the month. These aspects are fast moving, so effects won’t last longer than a few days, most likely, but handling the sudden and unexpected (Uranus) may still have far-reaching implications due to the interconnectedness of all the planetary energies. Evolutionary progress can be made.

Mid-month, the Sun, Mercury and Venus all shift into Leo, so we can expect, if we manifest the Leo energies in a dysfunctional way, to experience over-exaggeration, excessive drama and arrogance. Or, on the upside, manifested positively, a show of generosity, unselfishness, and playfulness, depending on how the energies are managed.

Week 1 (1-8) is a good time to take stock of things, assess our progress in attaining our ideals and learning new ways to become more efficient and organized. We will learn the wisdom of going with the flow of Destiny, getting our egos out of the way, trusting that our process will have a positive outcome, and learning that we are all a small part of a greater picture. Uncertain or sudden use of power may occur around the 7th. It’s a New Moon in Cancer on the 4th, when emotions, caring and family may take precedence.

Week 2 (9-16) may be filled with more surprises, and unexpected upheaval will tend to happen. It could be as simple as sudden changes in likes and dislikes, unexpected chance meetings, or as exciting as unexpected love affairs. Both Mercury and Venus entering Leo will give us all a desire to “be seen” or to shine in some way. Around the 13th there is opportunity for daring and unusual action that may have far-reaching consequences. Leaps of Faith and courage are highlighted. Artistic stimulation of some kind around the 16th is recommended.

Week 3 (16-24): Events and feelings may continue to turn in unexpected ways which will be beyond our control. It is best to have a philosophical perspective about life this week and to seize any unexpected opportunities that may come your way, especially around the 21st and 24th. It is a week when power can be easily unleashed and destined change is in the air.

Week 4 (25-31): Thought and action are working in harmony and it will most likely be in directions that are not the norm or routine. Having a good time, especially around the 29th, is highlighted, but be careful of excess or over-stimulation. If you are planning on a social scene, it will most likely be quite unusual. Intelligent aggression, if necessary, is recommended.

Key Words: Unusual, Exaggerated, Self-expressive

ARIES: You may be feeling other than yourself this month, your old habit patterns being replaced by an unexpected new you. You need to make a choice to be daring or to play it safe. Expansive and optimistic thoughts for the future will give you a sense of direction.

TAURUS: This month begins with relationship issues that may challenge the deepest part of yourself to maintain your individuality and not make unwilling sacrifice. Do not overly sacrifice to achieve relationship harmony – be true to yourself! The social atmosphere during the first two weeks will most likely be replaced with more circumspect behind-the-scenes activity in the latter half. Removing unconscious blocks that inhibit positive action is important, and in Week 2, let your conservative self take a back seat and let a bold, daring you, shine. Be wary of overwork in Week 3. Also, opportunities to change values, resources and self-worth are all highlighted from the 21st-24th. There is opportunity for long-term growth in relationships at the end of the month when the Moon enters Taurus on the 26th.

GEMINI: Goals, plans and ambitions will occupy your thinking and energy for the first half of this busy month. Then energies shift to home and family after the 12th. Mental overwork may produce tension. No one can ever plan for every contingency. You can get from Point A to Point B but don’t be surprised if the method to get there should change. Progress toward attaining your goals may be slow, but enjoy the month. Take some time to treat yourself to a bit of pleasure. The Moon enters Gemini two times this month: on the 1st and again on the 28th. Pivotal days are around the 5th-9th and 19th-20th.

It may be a good deal but make sure you have a clear picture of all that is involved. The first two weeks are very unstable, so reserve taking action, if possible, until Week 4. The Moon enters Leo on the 5th, when hidden things may come to light.

VIRGO: The first half of the month will most likely be concerned with financial and material security, when upset of goals and plans may cause you to reconsider your direction. Business and intimate partnerships can help solve dilemmas, although their solutions will most likely be very unusual. Certainly consider it! Being of service to others is always a good feeling; however, be wary of overdoing it: people may also need to help themselves. Gregarious relationships should amuse you toward the end of the month. Be willing to be flexible without compromising your values. This month, your life view and philosophy may change. Creating a more positive view of yourself will always help you accomplish your tasks. The Moon enters Virgo on the 7th, to help ground you in the unexpected.

LIBRA: Career, public recognition and personal power and authority are all highlighted in the first half of the month. Since busy Uranus is still in your House of Business and Intimate Partnerships, you might expect a few surprises from those who may challenge you with new and exciting adventures. Someone may be calling for freedom and liberation. Trying to hang on or over-control is not the solution. Love and nurturing is a wonderful thing, but manipulation and over-protective behavior is where you must trust and let go. In the latter half of the month, you may find you have lots to say and it is certainty best to “let it rip!” for it’s a good time to purge. You’ll feel much better and attain a state of freedom for yourself. The Moon enters Libra on the 10th giving you balance if you need to be assertive beyond your usual boundaries.

SCORPIO: Questions of Destiny and its effect upon your future may stimulate what you might not have been facing – those unconscious impulses that would jar the prescribed vision you have of yourself and your world. Goals and plans may expand from the safe and narrow, to the risk of chance and adventure. Be certain inside yourself that you will be protected in your Leap of Faith. Lots of progress can be made during Weeks 3 & 4 concerning those ambitions you cherish in the deepest part of yourself. Mars has now turned Direct in your sign, and is picking up speed, so you should feel an increase in energy. The Moon enters Scorpio on the 12th, when communication and self-expression may be a liberating experience.

SAGITTARIUS: Self control can be rewarding when it prevents you from “losing it”, when confronted by the unusual and unexpected. Information may come to you which may create upheaval and thinking and acting rationally will be most helpful in avoiding collateral damage due to recklessness. Discussing your ideals with business and intimate partnerships is recommended during Week 1, clearing up obscurity and defining principles. The choices you make this month may alter the course of your Destiny in a major way. The Moon enters Sagittarius on the 15th, to help ground you after a week of upheaval. At the end of the month, you will see its benefit.

CAPRICORN: It’s time to liberate yourself from the drudgery of routine and find new and better ways to do things. That is the best way to deal with any challenges that come up this month. Sudden upheaval in material resources or changes in personal values may surprise you, especially during Week 2. After mid-month the focus shifts to career, and personal power and authority issues. Much can be accomplished during Weeks 3 and 4, tying up any loose ends to your endeavors. Continue to manifest your ideal in your everyday world. You are doing a good job. It will most likely be an unusual and challenging month due to aspects to your ruling planet, Uranus; but at the end of the month, you will see the brilliant pattern of events as a means of making you stronger. The Moon enters Aquarius on the 19th, to help ground you if the energies are feeling intense.

PISCES: Your thoughts may be preoccupied with philosophical, ethical and religious issues at the beginning of the month which may relate to your job and career. You may be uncertain as to how to handle business and intimate relationships, since being obliging may not be the best answer. Pay attention to your principles and what you want in your world. Are they synonymous? Opportunities for transformation are conferred at the end of the month. Go with the flow and don’t be surprised if the changes are more far-reaching than you thought they would be. Be wary of over-doing it, especially during Week 4. The Moon enters Pisces on the 22nd to help ground you amidst opportunities for change.
